Patrick Hanlon

Patrick Hanlon is the author of PRIMAL BRANDING the seminal book (and required reading at YouTube) that uncovers the root code for building authentic brands. By unveiling the construct of brands as belief systems that attract others who share those beliefs, Hanlon uncovered what Harvard sociologist E.O. Wilson describes as the “natural selection for social interaction.” 

As CEO/founder of Primalbranding.co (formerly Thinktopia), a global brand and strategic innovation practice, Hanlon works with billion-dollar brands and those who want to become billion-dollar brands by helping them define how to create community building systems of deep belief and active advocacy.

Clients include Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Experian, Shopify, American Express, PayPal, Levi’s, the United Nations and startups like Hex, Brave Software and others. Hanlon has been an online contributor to Forbes, Fast Company, Inc., and Medium. He also operates the global Primal.Live event platform, which brings together ‘Primals’ who follow the Primal Branding construct.
